Chijioke has over 20 years of diverse experience in engineering, projects, operations, quality, health, safety and environment (QHSE), strategic planning and business development in ten countries across Europe, Africa and Asia.
He served as the Corporate Planning Manager at Transocean in Switzerland, where he was responsible for divesting non-core assets and assisted with developing the corporate strategy for the world’s largest offshore driller. He also had various line management and support responsibilities in Transocean, Seadrill and Schlumberger, including being the first Nigerian to manage a 5th generation ultra-deep-water drillship, QHSE Manager of Transocean’s Gulf of Guinea division, Commercial Manager for Seadrill responsible for Africa, and Project Manager responsible for the deep-water harsh environment upgrade of the Schlumberger owned Sovereign Explorer.
He was Group Head of EHHSQ at Oando PLC and COO of OES Energy Services prior to becoming the Managing Director of Ocean Deep Drilling ESV Nigeria Ltd [ODENL].
He earned a B.Eng. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Benin in 1995 and an MBA in General Management from Heriot Watt University, United Kingdom, in 2005.
